I write my own songs and have done since I was about 14. The only thing that's changed is that, since recently, my songs don't suck.

My inspirations and influences include Alanis Morissette, Morrissey & The Smiths, Mika, REM, Bright Eyes, Frank Sinatra and The Cure.

I try to give an outlook on life that is insightful, progressive and exploratory. Humour and irony are as important as emotions and experiences.

I used to be against cover versions, but I think as long as they're a testament to the original artist and not just for the purpose of making money, they're important. There is a massive difference.
