Tim Donner Republican For U.S. Senate, Virginia.
About Me:

Tim Donner is small businessman and entrepreneur, longtime conservative policy advocate and broadcast journalist.

He established Horizons Television, Inc., a media production company, and founded One Generation Away, a free market education and public policy organization. Both are based in Virginia. He has been host of Talkin' Baseball, a nationally syndicated radio program, for the last eight years. He is a trustee for several organizations, including the Virginia Institute for Public Policy, the Commonwealth's leading free market think tank, Cal Thomas's Values Through Media and Radio America, and is an elder at Fourth Presbyterian Church (EPC).

Tim and his wife Leesa have lived in Virginia for 25 years, and are parents to two boys, William and TJ.

After graduating with a B.A. in broadcast journalism / political science from Syracuse University, Tim began his career as a sports broadcaster in Boston and central Massachusetts. Following their days together in radio, Leesa went on to a successful TV career as a reporter, anchor and producer in Boston, Charlotte, Pittsburgh and Washington, DC. In 1986, the newly married couple made their home in Virginia and fell in love with the Commonwealth.

Tim founded Horizons Television Inc. in 1987 and began to create educational, promotional and documentary productions for free market groups such as the Bill of Rights Institute, Media Research Center, Pacific Research Institute, and Atlas Economic Research Foundation. In addition, Horizons worked with many nationally recognized institutions such as the Library of Congress, Smithsonian Institution and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Tim's business career has included travel to four continents.

In 2005, his company produced Inconvenient Truth, or Convenient Fiction? a documentary response to Al Gore's global warming manifesto. It debuted before enthusiastic audiences in Washington, New York and San Francisco.

Tim has devoted substantial time to conservative and faith-based causes through two family foundations, and over the years has developed affiliations with The Heritage Foundation, American Enterprise Institute, the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship and the C.S. Lewis Institute, among others.

His father, Joe Donner, was involved in the founding of National Review magazine and was a strong supporter of conservative causes long before it became fashionable.

In addition to his substantial work in public policy, Tim has maintained an active interest in politics, and is a member of the Fairfax County Republican Committee.
