☮ Livin life with the goats

Donna Loman, born on 16th of July 1993, started singing at a very young age. The development of her unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence. Growing up in a talented musical family meant that Donna was always surrounded by different forms of music. Her musical training originated with learning classical piano at the age of 8, and then singing lessons at 9. Donna has now graduated to playing the guitar and writing her own songs which is her real passion. In 2005 Donna auditioned for a music school in Rotterdam and went on to become a pupil. There she had singing lessons for 5 years, was taught by Fay Claassen and Bart de Win and belonged to the official preparatory training of the Conservatory Jazz Academy. In that same year Donna started writing her own songs. Her music style was more pop than jazz, this was one of the reasons why she decided changing over to the Pop Academy. Since that time she had lessons from Bart de Win and Harjo Pasveer. Donna currently lives in London. Everything Donna listens to directs her musical development in some way. And she names John Mayer, The Beatles and Joy Division among her biggest influences. Donna has lived in London for a couple of months and has played at numerous coffeehouses and open mic nights around the city. Now she lives in Amsterdam to study at the Conservatory, and will continue playing solo or with her band.
