	donnalane626 (3 months ago) Emmasmomma1317- To answer your questions, When steaming your gumpaste flowers it is to set the color so that it does not come off of the flower. You could do your roses with a hot pink color and then use a lighter color to highlight them, I think it would look awesome! And then a darker color would give you a deep shadow effect. The best way to see how these things would work, make a rose in the hot pink then take 4 sections and use a differnt chalk color on each section to see which you like the best. Just do a little experiemnt you may come up with something really cool that you may not of thought of doing, this is how I do things so that I can come up with different results. 	emmasmomma1317 (3 months ago) I have a question about your roses...when using the chalk to dust...does it get darker when you steam them? I am trying to make hot pink work for me. I made white roses..per your instruction and they came out beautiful..first time making roses thank you by the way..I dusted them with the hot pink chalk and they are ok..but what if I used hot pink gumpaste..would chalk dusting work on it? what color would show up.. would you then dust with a dark color to give the effect of shadowing..I just do not want to make it look dirty..any suggestions?
