About The Rat in the hat
An admirer of the Broons, the SCottish family that appear in the Sunday Post and still trapped in the 1930s. The original stories bt Dudley D Watkins, who did the strip until his untimely death in 1969, are the best! He was a superb Artist and Storyteller, even if he did recycle some of his best plots (How many times did the Broon boys make a hash of building a bookcase? How many times did Paw end up being wheeled home in a pram?) and most stories ended with someone exclaiming "Oh No!" on doscovering something "shocking" such as Paw biling up tea with his mates when MAw had brought her "posh" friends home. The Broons were just a great comic strip and if it cant be made into a movie then converting the strips into wee "animations" is the next best thing! Help m'boab!
