Stir up the soul of American blues with the golden tone and dance rhythms of African music. The result is African fusion music that brings joy to the heart, inspiration for the mind and gets the body moving.

This is the definitive musical style of Seattle based guitarist Don Keller.

Don first discovered his true musical calling when he heard Jimi Hendrix channel spirit through a stratocaster in 'Voodoo Chile.' This inspired him to dig deeper into the blues, helping him discover legends by the likes of Albert King, BB King and Howlin' Wolf. But for him, blues and rock music alone went only so far.

After picking up the guitar at the age of 18, one day, Don heard the sound of African soukous music. This profound experience would later change the course of his musical direction entirely.

Don has performed extensively with guitarist, composer Leif Totusek (who has played with Congolese Rumba legend Mose Se 'Fan Fan') as well as master drummer and band leader Ibrahima Camara from Senegal, West Africa (who has recorded with Stevie Wonder on the album "Journey Through The Secret Life Of Plants").

Specifically, Don is heavily influenced by the African music styles of soukous and rumba music from Congo as well as the malenke and mbalax styles of Western Africa.

Don Keller's mission is to spread the awareness and love of African music through new African fusion compositions and performances.
