I served aboard the USS Catskill MCS 1 jul 69-nov 70 and was homeported out of Sasebo until aug 70. I remember the EM club was up on a hill and there were a ton of bars. I believe the entrance to the bar district was called paradise alley..............

I served aboard the USS Buchanan DDG 14 at the same time this happened. We were hit a few days prior to the MIG attack on the Higbee. We tied up near the Higbee..i believe a few ships inward.... and I took some slides of the damage, but the slides are somewhere in my attic in one of many boxes......
