@mastermalpass I dont see why it would'nt be possible...there is what's called a Ballistic REcovery System for use on fulll-sized cessnas etc so it should be possible to make a smaller version. Not sure it would've helped here tho...things went wrong in a hurry!

@geomodelrailroader Forgot about the Liberty!! It's even better than Ares 1 b/c Ares uses a J2X in the second stage, whereas Liberty uses the first stage engine of an Ariane 5 which is already fully operational...meaning there's no reason it couldn't be test-flown and human-rated very quickly!
