Hi,

My name is dolphinsneu. I am a casual, yet passionate singer/pianist.

I didn't have much interest in music growing up. It wasn't until high school that I started regularly listening to music on a CD player. I didn't even own my first CD until my senior year of high school (How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb by u2). I loved sports and spent most of my high school time focusing on football (which paid HUGE dividends for me senior year, when my team won a share of our conference championship : )) and academics.

I started getting more enamored with music freshman year of college, since my football playing days were over. I couldn't stand to just be a spectator. I needed to get involved. At first, I only sang at open mic nights at college. However, I decided I needed to learn how to play an instrument.

I started teaching myself how to play piano in the Spring of 2008. I learned (and still learn) song by song. I perform at my school and for youtube. Hopefully, I'll be able to take my work more public someday. I rarely sing along in my youtube videos, but when I perform live, I always sing.

In addition to piano, I also enjoy playing sports, watching sports, lifting weights, learning about nature, learning about science, and doing community service.

I'm working toward earning a biology degree. From there, I don't know what I will do. I had a wonderful internship working as a lab assistant for a pharmaceutical company in the spring of 2009, so maybe that is the field I will pursue. But there are many other options available to me. Hopefully, this economy will recover before I graduate!!
