Dionne was the engineer on this train. You need a strong voice like hers to sing the melody and allow Patti and Gladys to sing their great rifs around the melody. Dionne makes the other two sound even better. This performance is more than amazing, it's magic.

I heard somewhere that Bobby Darin produced this recording and he had the pace of the song build up to a climax as he did with his big hit "Mack the Knife".
