Dodge Chrysler has more "consumer websites" against it, more problems, defect, fire photos and video, more known problems and safety defects Chrysler refuses to recall than even GM and Ford COMBINED. This is a clear reflection on Dodge, Chrysler quality, reliability, safety and how Chrysler treats customers and continually declines to cover valid warranty claims whenever possible.
Dodge Chrysler has denied valid warranty claims, even when on or before schedule maintenance can be proven while often blaming the consumer whenever possible to avoid covering valid warranty claims. Chrysler Dealers have said they are pressured to keep warranty costs to a minimum even if it means NOT covering valid warranty claims. Chrysler now says its warranty claims are down while Chrysler witholds the real reason for the continuing decline in warranty repairs.

About Me:
A 2009 JD Powers Initial Quality Survey rated Ford and Chevy ABOVE AVERAGE while Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep all ranked BELOW AVERAGE. A 2008 Long Term Dependability Study ranked Ford ABOVE AVERAGE, while Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep brands ranked BELOW AVERAGE. A recent 2008 Consumer Reports Study found that Ford has now caught up to Toyota and Honda in quality, while Chrysler quality continues to deteriorate.
In a 2009 list of IIHS Top Safety Picks, NOT ONE CHRYSLER LLC VEHICLE MADE THE LIST, WHILE FORD HAD 16 VEHICLES AND GM HAD 8.
Dealership owners say Chrysler pressured them to only do patchwork on warranty repairs and in some cases no repairs at all. Witnesses at one dealer saw valid warranty claims turned down by Chrysler representative stating that Chrysler policy is to "assume the customer is guilty for causing a warrantable defect." Representative also shows Chrysler dealership technicians shortcuts and patchwork he states may not be in the manuals.
Chrysler has valued increasing profits over product quality and safety. Chrysler has even gone as far as to not include safety components in Dodge, Chrysler vehicles that had become industry standards that Ford and GM had been using and has used substandard parts, just to save a few dollars per vehicle and had continued to use defective, unsafe designs to save money.
At one time, Chrysler had continued to use a latch design in their minivans that GM and Ford "abandonded" due to safety reasons. Chrysler also used a seatbelt buckle design known as Gen3, which is unsafe and substandard to what the rest of the industry had been using. Chrysler even witnessed minivan doors flying open in crash tests and crash test dummies being ejected during testing instructing employees to write nothing down about the problems. Chrysler had failed to equip vehicles with Brake Shift Interlock, a safety feature that had been a standard in most other vehicles at the time and prior. Chrysler used fuel injector o-rings substandard to what GM and Ford were using at the time, leading to fires.
The New Chrysler would have like you to believe they are going to improve quality and service while they continue to excessively cut corners.
For example, Chrysler Customer Service is now being outsourced to India. Chrysler executives have also stated that they will be cutting an additional 25 percent from parts costs, while quality is already suffering due to excessive cost cutting. Chrysler executives just can't seem to stop cutting corners at the expense of the consumer.
In Chryslers Bankruptcy, "the ability to form a new company free from product liability burden (responsibility for defects that cause injury, death and ability for victims to sue) was essential to the new companys survival" Chrysler spokesman. In sharp contrast, General Motors WILL BE continuing to accept responsibility for its vehicles.
Now FIAT as it is looking for a way to once again try and bring its vehicles to the American Market as it unsuccessfully attempted to in the past. The supposed FIAT "Alliance", yet another Chrysler Public Relations STUNT as FIAT is taking Chrysler at no cost just so it can get into the American Market. How many times can Chrysler claim it is new? Now, with the new dizzying Management structure there are 5 CEO's, which make it difficult to know whos accountable and is really in charge!
