It's like playing odds: the Yankees' money makes it so that when they don't go all the way, it's like they FAILED. So, with Yankee fans it's all or nothing: it's role-playing: you have the most at stake because when you lose, you're laughed at because you've been gloating. It's a role, a mind-set...

Oh, she's wonderful. Plus in this episode there are 2 consecutive scenes where Kari plays two different characters! I thought I noticed it, and then sure enough, both roles are listed on the same screen during the credits. Plus I looked it up on the net - - - but only afterward!

Great joke. I'm sure his holiness eventually found it amusing, though there's a lot of explaining that will have to be done (the idiom that a pizza can in fact come "with everything," for example, or referring to a pizza a "one"). It unfortunately required familiarity with too many colloquialisms...

I like how this performance has the piano playing even in the beginning, where there is no piano part. It would have been the custom to play along, reading the bass part, as the pianist was also the conductor.

It might be interesting to see such a realization color coded for key. That would require some judgment calls, of course, but I'd volunteer :) One would have to decide whether one waits for, say 4:00 for the color change to the key of F, or whether it does so before the cadence. One could also or...

This is indeed an "interpretation." In a way it belongs with that synthesized one on "Switched-On Bach II" -- not by any means pretending to be the only way to do it, but just someone's new take on it.
