@mmthatisatastyburger I'm in my studio here, but the software is running completely on my laptop and its not hooked up to any of the other gear in the shot. the signal chain is internal... the audio from iTunes gets routed internally to Max/MSP via Soundflower and then the audio from the drum loo...

Operation - Real-Time Looping/Chopping/Mixing/Melee Machine

@ronnie9253 it's pretty easy to calculate bpm from fileLength, assuming you know how many beats are in your loop:
bpm = 60000 / [(file length in ms) / (# of beats)]

pretty cool. I think it would be a lot more useful in live performance if, after the stutter, the loop jumped forward to where it would have been without the stutter (if that makes any sense). Basically... maintaining the 4/4 time.
