"A friend once asked me, "What is God obligated to give man?" Interesting question. My first thought was that God was not actually obligated to give man anything at all. Then, upon deeper reflection, I replied, "Justice". Here's why. While God is merciful, He is not obligated to give a man mercy. Grace is an undeserved gift. On the other hand, because God is just, He must punish sin. If He didn't, God would not be just. Many people run to a life of morals and "clean living" trying to hide from the guilt of their past, hoping their "good" will out-weigh their "bad". The Law does not hide sin, it reveals it. Running to God's Law to hide from a sinful past is like a man who runs to the mirror to hide from his face. Rather than avoiding his greatest fears, he exposes and magnifies them. The purpose of Mt. Sinai is to point us to Mt. Calvary, where sin is thrown into the sea, and we are hidden with Christ in God."

WHY I BELIEVE THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD:
Because I've read it.
And in reading it, I saw that it is a book like no other book. The things it says, it's truths, what it says about man, what it says about culture, what it says about evil.... everything in it testifies to it's truth.

Tell me... if God desires universal salvation in the way you think it means.... then why does He "HIDE THESE THINGS" from certain people (see MATTHEW 11:25)?
If you say "because of Pride".... you have made God's love to be CONDITIONAL, and therefore you have made Him out to be a "repector of persons" (which contradicts ROMANS 2:11)!
