Where do I start? I guess I can start with why I'm doing this "you tube thing". I'm doing this because last year I had my confidence crushed more times then i would like to recall. I guess the biggest blow was when i traveled to Miami to try out for American Idol. I went there with really high expectations, and it felt like my world came crashing down around me. It wouldn't have been as bad if Simon, Paula, and Randy told me no, but I didn't even get to them. The producers told me I wasn't good enough. My friends tell me I shouldn't obsess about it, but it's tough to hear someone tell you "you're not good enough." Anyway ... I guess I'm doing this to try and build my confidence up again. Now, I like many types of music. At hart I'm a neo-soul singer (Anthony Hamilton India.Arie etc.), but for some reason I can not write it. Every time I write it comes out pop or alternative rock. Don't get me wrong I can sing a lot of genres,but I would love to write a really good neo-soul song. I'm also an acoustic guitar player. I'm not that good but I'm learning. It helps me write my songs. Hopefully you like what you hear. Please Please Please leave comments! good and bad trust me you wont hurt my feelings.
