Colorado original Irish/Western rock.
About Me:

The band's ability to fuse a multitude of traditions and influences can truly be appreciated when one explores the Indulgers' impressive catalog of original music.

The Indulgers were recognized as Colorado's "Independent Band of the Year" in 2003 and has recently won Westword's World Music Award 2008 and CitySearch.com's "Denver's Best Band Award."

Their first release, "In Like Flynn," garnered numerous awards including Ethnic CD of the Year and Celtic Song of the Year for its title track. The CD also peaked at number two on Amazon.com's International Independent Chart.

Singer-songwriter Damien McCarron hails from Dublin, Ireland, where he grew up immersed in a melting pot of great Irish music ranging from the traditional to Dublin's modern rock bands. Before partnering with McCarron, multi-instrumentalist Mike Nile spent years touring as bassist for the legendary rock band "Spirit." His impressive variety of instruments includes guitar, mandolin, accordion, whistle, and the electronic bagpipes. The band's amazing fiddler, Renee Fine, is a classically-trained artist who has played with the Boulder Philharmonic. Drummer Pat Murphy and bass player Chris Murtaugh provide the backbone of the band's infectious, famously danceable music.
The Indulgers have rapidly gained a reputation as one of the top Celtic bands in North America and have appeared with numerous nationally and internationally known artists.

The Indulger's music is played on U.S. College Radio, NPR affiliates, Web and Satellite radio stations, Radio Scotland, Australian, Brazilian, Irish, French, Portuguese, German, Canadian, and Russian Radio Stations.

"The Indulgers' music is upbeat, danceable, and easy for non-Celtic fans to listen to. It's different from traditional Celtic music in that it has a rock/pop edge, without sounding too contrived or commercial. There are enough undertones to remind the listener the band is Celtic, without dominating the sound."
- Colorado Springs Gazette
"The Indulgers are a Golden-based original Celtic rock band that has maintained its cultural integrity while at the same time including rock instruments like electric guitars and five-piece drums to produce a sound more familiar to American audiences — rock 'n' roll."
-- Colorado Springs Independent
"The band's mixture of Irish and rock sounds is precise, and respectful to both genres."
-- O'Connell St.

"You'll be forced to take the CD everywhere, carrying it from location to location like an evil security blanket. In time, you will likely attempt to move to Ireland, hoping to be cured of your consuming affliction."
