Actually Cilla sang it before Dionne. Even though it was written with Dionne's voice in mind the movie was done in London and they wanted a Brit singer for the film. They used Cher in the U.S. Rumor has it that Burt required tons of retakes to get it just right. You can see around 2:00 the expre...

@boiledrootbeer - He uses it between tunes to keep that white smile - no really he put it on the guitar to help with the strap which broke one night in the early days of PMG. He played great that night and kept it there - as you can hear it works.

It's all about music here. No one cares about being a rock or pop star. The expression and the emotion of the notes and the feelings they generate is all that matters. Thanks for posting -

Wonder who is in this band outside of Pat and Anna. Don't recognize anyone. They do a good job with the backbone of the tune. But this one is mostly Pat's solo backed with a good workout from the drummer and Anna's vocals in the opening.

@JRBain7 there are a couple of interviews and demos with Lyle on You Tube that sort of show his world a little. It does seem like it's all about music -what he hears in his head (with perfect pitch) is amazing - just be glad we get to hear it.
Recall the Clinton was helping raise $ for Katrina victims and this episode of Spectacle with Elvis Costello on Sundance was to help raise some more $s. So Bill stopped by.
