About this user

Dj Tempo, aka, Lee Jennings, arrived on the 18th May 1982. He lived in a small estate in Lewisham, South East London. He grew up in a typical working class family, his mother was a housewife and father a labourer. Tempo, aged 18, left college with basic GCSE's (retakes), and joined the Army where he spent 5 years serving in the Royal Army medical corps as a private C.M.T. before being medically discharged.

Prior to joining the Army Tempo had two close friends who inspired him with his musical talent. Both of these friends hit it big with the names Dj Darky and Mc Swifty, (Close contacts of Alex Rivers, Mark Oseitutu, more commonly known as Oxide and Neutrino). At this time Tempo played at some local clubs in London using two unsigned names; Dj Bullet and Dj Speed.

Since leaving the Army, Tempo took up music again after an accident which almost cost him his life. From then on he took to posting his remixes online. Tempo then started getting global recognition for his work, which in turn led to various club owners as far afield as Australia asking if he would do a set as a guest Dj. Dj Tempo's lucky break came in 2007 when he became signed by the artist management / record label, Dance Jam Music, a locally based Welsh label which is where he is still currently signed to and hopes to be for a while to come. And now currently owns his own Indie label titled Tempo Records.
