If you consider yourself to be a true music connoisseur, chances are you have already heard of DJ P-Plus. Over the years, the Toronto native has established himself as one of the most prominent and popular DJ's in the Canadian music scene. With ten years under his belt, DJ P-Plus approaches the turntables with the seriousness and precision of a surgeon approaching the operating table.
Dubbed the "DJ's DJ," for his remarkable knack to deliver what his audience wants to hear, DJ P-Plus has been invited to play in venues all over Canada from Vancouver to Ottawa, the US, Japan, the Netherlands and more. His drive and dedication have allowed him to master all aspects of the DJ game - from the studio to radio; concerts to television. DJ P-Plus has been featured on national TV programs such as AXS, Much Music's Vibe, and the New Music, as well as on NBA XL, and BET.
DJ P-Plus is not your typical DJ. Over the past decade, his skills have earned him an unmatchable reputation as evidenced by DJ Stylus nominations in 2006 and 2007 for: DJ of the Year, Radio DJ of the Year, and Underground Hip Hop DJ of the Year. In 2008, he was awarded Dap Ent. DJ of the Year and Stylus Underground DJ of the Year.
While DJ P-Plus is more commonly recognized as a dominant fixture in the hip hop music scene, his talents certainly have no borders. His impressive array has been demonstrated time and again, for example, playing alongside world-renowned house DJs such as John Beltran, Jojo Flores, and Paul E. Lopes. Sought after for corporate affairs, and private functions DJ P-Plus has played for the likes of Saatchi and Saatchi and Crush Inc.
DJ P-Plus' endless horizons of musical abilities are currently demonstrated in his two regular mix-shows. During the New FLOW 93.5's "Midday Mix", he takes listeners on a tour through the realms of r&b, house, reggae, old school, soul, disco, rock, pop, electronica and other surprises.
During his second show "The Real Frequency" his audience gets their weekly hip-hop fix. Unafraid to step outside the box, DJ P-Plus has emerged as one of the country's most versatile DJ's. His unique ability to translate his musical passion into a sound is quite like the old fairy-tale: when DJ P-Plus takes an ordinary needle and starts to spin, what comes out is gold.
