You angle a cart (in the opposite direction) on a s shaped tonearm to make it act like a strait one. So why is he angling the cart?

There should be NO "trial-and-error" when balancing the tonearm! There is ONE proper way to do it. And when screwing in the counter-weight, you only put how ever many grams your cartridge calls for. It will be in your cartridge instructions.

This guy doesn't know sh*t. That is NOT how you balance a tonearm. For one thing, the counterweight is measured in grams, not ounces. After PROPERLY balancing the tonearm, you put however many grams your cartridge calls for on the stylus. Your cartridge manual will say how many grams you need.
