Represented here are Women in Jazz South Florida, Inc., Florida Jazz Network, Lauderhill Jazz Series and jazz and blues singer Joan Cartwright who holds a Master's degree in Communications and B.A. in Music and Communications. She's toured on five continents and taught thousands of children the History of Jazz and Blues and Women in Jazz. In 1998, she produced Gaiafest, A Celebration of Mother Earth with Women in Jazz, featuring Dakota Staton and honoring famed pianist Dorothy Donegan. Her first recorded composition was SWEET RETURN on Atlantic Records by Freddie Hubbard and the Kool Jazz All-Stars of 1983. Joan continues to perform and teach jazz in the United States and abroad.
