Ok since you're still reading this I guess you're interested in aviation and therefore I will assume you're already familiar with some of the generic terms I'll be using.

About me then:

I've started flying in July 2005 and passed a Private Pilot License 9 months later.

I've then decided to become professional pilot and passed my Airline Transport Pilot License in August 2008 in Bern (Switzerland).

I've started my Instrument Rating as soon as I found a way to finance it. My first simulator session was in October 2008.

In December 2008 the real instrument flight training has started.

The weather conditions at this time of the year (winter 2008) required a really high level of training during the planning phase as well as during the flight itself because of systematic moderate to severe icing conditions and of course no visibility in the most critical segments of the flights.

In February 2009 I've successfully passed my IR SEP/SPA check.

Shortly after I've been qualified to fly multi engine aircraft type Baron 55 in instruments flight rules (IR ME).

At the end of June 2009 I went in Berlin Shönhagen in order to train for multi crew operations (MCC) which is a part of the standard airline requirements.

Then finally after building up the minimum flight time in order to get my professional licence I've been presented by my FTO for the professional check ride and successfully obtained the licence.

Since then I was officially qualified to start a career as first officer in any company looking for abinitio candidates.

I am now starting as First Officer in very good Swiss regional airline!

Next step: the type rating!
