Another Friday night,
Guess I'll put a clean shirt on
and hitch a ride to town.
No more work for two whole days,
there's no point hanging 'round.

David Ackles - Love's enough
Every time you fall in love
that's the best time of all.
It's holding sunlight in your hand,
it's heaven come to call;
and you wonder, will it last...

Truly great posting. Thank-you.
This is one of my 3 favourite love songs. It's the one I think of as being "real" rather than "romatic/dreamy" or "spiritual". There's no "happily ever after" with David Ackles. He's too well-connected to reality for that.
"Love's Enough" is simply superb and...

Great performance. And for some reason I prefer the saxophone of Larry Williams on this take of "Dolphin Dreams" over the studio version with Ernie Watts (viz. "On the Line") That's some achievement considering how well Lee Ritenour and Ernie Watts collaborate!!

@sidomitch Indeed I recall that Hugh McCracken played slide guitar on this track (as indicated in aother comment) Later on the album, there's a track "Appolonia" which features George Harrison. Since Tom Scott & LA Express contributed to George Harrison's 1974 US tour, it would fit that he cont...

A wonderful melody by Mike Lawrence. And what magnificent ride that Peter Erskine takes us on during the course of this performance.

The definition of happiness! Pity that there are so few views. The world could benefit from more of the joy that this type of music can provide.

Fabulous. Thank-you so much for posting. What a wonderfully vulnerable and inspiring piece of music rolled into one.
I always think that David Ackles hints at globalisation and environmental concerns in this song more or less 40 years before "Rio + 20". Maybe I'm wrong to to extract these elements from the lyrics. But it's kind of impressive to consider such vision and foresight.
Anyway, I feel that America...
