About this user
I have a passion for truth which lead me to realise that the highest value we should all hold is honesty and integrity to our own intellect. If we choose to willingly accept bad ideas and concepts we risk poisoning our knowledge and future as a species.
I have found through experience, time and time again that the best method for establishing truth is evidence based reasoning and logic.
I have no belief, since it enables me to accept any absurd, contradictory or impossible claim. I could believe with absolute conviction that I own a ferrari, belief is not required to reflect reality.
Faith requires i accept something for which there is little to no evidence for, or in many cases, abundant evidence against that position.
For these reasons i by default reject all supernatural claims, this predominantly refers gods and other deities, ghosts, magic, dragons, angels, the soul, demons, curses, psychic powers, astrology, alternative healing practices, auras levitation and other mystical assertions.
I am also highly skeptical of conspiracy theories such as 9/11 truthers, the new world order, reptilians, illuminati, annunaki, 2012, secret alien technology, RFID chips and countless other paranoid interpretations of reality.
'Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence'
- (the late) Carl Sagan
If we can prove that on an atomic level that electrons do not obey the rules of causality, which is by any feat of the imagination almost impossible to accept. Then why cant anyone even begin to prove even a simple ghost claim?
Why do all psychics, levitators, healers and dowsers refuse to be tested under controlled conditions or fail horribly when tested?
Why do countless amateur astronomers never report UFO sightings?
And how can we rationally and honestly begin to accept the existence of invisible, undetectable deities when we cannot prove the people who founded or wrote any of the holy scriptures for hundreds of completely separate and unique religions, were even telling the truth?
I am not bias to believing against, I am completely open to good rigorous evidence, which in the past has changed my mind on many treasured beliefs and shown me far more intriguing and wonderful answers within reality itself, rather than the distorted vision i once held.
I respect everybody's right to hold their own values and beliefs, i do not attack people for wanting to personally believe in something.
However if people decide to publicly promote bad ideas, poor logic and flawed reasoning and outright deception then I feel it is just that they receive intelligent criticism of their statements.
