I went for a walk amongst the world's tallest living organisms on a gorgeous spring day in Northern California, moving in silence through the towering ancient redwoods preserved in Cathedral Grove. The stand of massive trees is as close to a sacred natural space as I have encountered on Earth to date. (less info)
