About Mayerling, it is a boring movie. I've never seen it but I saw clips about it on Youtube right after I wrote to you the last time. Somebody finally put clips of it here. I was looking for an eternity for this to happen. It looks like a beautiful movie. I have to see more clips of Ava and James in it. About Pandora, you can be pretentious and say that if you saw Ava Gardner, you can die in peace. I didn't know her leading men comitted suicide because of her. I know they suffered though hahahahaha Wow the DVD was expensive. it's too bad the color was bad. Hopefully they'll do some restoration work in the future. See you, Astral
I agree with you that perfect does not mean perfection in art. It's great you got that from James Mason in Pandora and the Flying Dutchman. I've never seen that movie. It's a legendary art movie that was not a box office hit but was artistically done. It was directed by the guy that did The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945).
Do you know if there any clips on YouTube of Ava and James Mason in Mayerling (1968)? I've looked and have not seen any. I love what the critic said of this movie: Ava Gardner and James Mason are the only good things in this movie. Hahahahahahahahahaha
Thank you for letting me know that Annette Warren dubbed Ava's voice in Showboat. I didn't know Ava was the most dubbed voice in show business!!!!!!

In what movie did Annette Warren dub Ava? It does displease God when someone else dubs Ava's voice like a cowboy without a Stetson and the Swiss without their cuckoo clocks hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!! I think it's Ava's voice because it sounds the same as when she sang in The Hucksters and Showboat (her original recording). Ava was smart in recording the Showboat songs and thank God somebody put them on YouTube so we can hear her original recording of the songs.

I saw an Ava video recently of her singing Coming Thru the Rye from Mogambo. She was singing that to bother Grace Kelly and Clark Gable in the movie.

About violence, of course it's bad and should be stopped. I agree that it's almost impossible to eradicate but it should only be used in self-defense. Never in an agressive manner.
About Where Eagles Dare, it's a great film. Violence is there but it not as bad as the violence they show in films nowadays. Cliffhanger I've never seen but I've heard it's a great film.
