It is amazing how different this song is, with its heavy, thumping beat and very basic lyrics, from their later stuff like "Tonight's The Night" and "Soldier Boy" which were kind of syrupy sweet in comparison -- more acceptable to a white audience, probably.

It's not classic disco if you think of classic disco as having a lot of strings in the background, which a lot of the disco numbers had (like TSOP, for example). But it sure was played in the discos and is a great song to dance to. Can't believe it didn't get higher than Number 8.
