About diapason007
I'm Bernhard. Born in NZ, living in Australia since 1968. Pianist mainly amateur these days (cocktail style with ragtime capability), pipe organ though forgot how to use my feet, restored several reed organs; sang in 10 Gilbert & Sullivan operettas 7 in a principal Bass/Baritone role.
Like Brenda Lee (I was 15 then!), Edith Piaf, Zarah Leander (in my recent 15 years), most of Puccini, some of Verdi, a lot of Lehar, Kalman, J Strauss. Gimme George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter anytime.
Discovered Philippine Kundiman music but unfortunately no one else has. Conching Rosal has beautiful soprano voice but where is she? Nicanor Abelardo was a genius but he died too young.
Where is Fritz Kreisler?
Loved Gustav Klimt before a lot of other people did, most Art Nouveau, some Art Deco but not too much of it; need plenty of light & space.
Like eating blintz's especially in Edison Hotel, New York City.
