the main goal of the gotama siddharta to achieve the real enlightenment which called in pali language nibbana(sanskrit nirvana), the enlightenment same as union with brahman or path to brahman this is the goal of the buddha, when the buddha achieve this goal he free from hate and fear and all bad things etc.... he achieve a true and eternal happiness, he well never born again he has liberate his soul from karma and go to the heaven.

the buddha teaching is lead to union with brahman, the eightfold path which is the main basic of the buddhist teaching, the buddha declare that eightfold path lead to union with brahman on this scripture "The Aryan Eightfold Path is the designation for Brahmayana (path to Brahman)[SN 5.25]"

the buddha message to all atheists who consider themselve to be buddhist "you are NOT buddhists" the evidence from buddha story with atheist philosopher,the prince ajita kesakambali when the buddha reject his atheist philosophy during his time, and not only reject but born in hell, according to digha nikaya after ajita kesakambali died he was born in hell because his bad believes on atheism and materialism, and also there is many other atheists in the time of buddha, like payasi, another athiest philosopher, and of course the buddha has reject all there false believes, and the other evidence that the main basic of the buddha teaching lead to brahman(god),this is the evidence from buddhist scripture "all the peoples say that Gotama is the supreme teacher of the way leading to the Union with Brahman"[DN 1.248], so buddhism was wrong place to you!!!!!

hinduism

the differences between hindu brahma and buddhist brahma, the hindu believe that brahma creat brahmins from his mouth and creat kshatariya from his hand and creat vastriya from his thigh and creat dalites from his legs all this racist caste in india,the buddha doesn't believe on it, buddha believe that the source of all things(including human) in the created world(samsara) are coming from the uncreated world(brahman) and all human have equal rights, the hindu also believe that trimurti it principle for three god, that mean brahma and shiva and vishnu is three gods controll the universe which buddha don't believe on it, in the end there is no any similarities between hindu brahma and buddhist brahman except the name!, the buddha also add this name to make indians understand what he mean, because in that time brahma mean the creator god in indian language, because this buddha use this name, not because buddhism same as hinduism, and also buddha declare that the eightfold path the only way to achieve nibbana in this verse "The best of paths is the Eightfold Path, The best of truths are the Four Noble Truths, The best of conditions is the passionless (nibbana)
The best of bipeds is the Seeing One (the Buddha).",This is the only Way,
There is none other for the purity of
vision, Do you follow this Path,
This is the bewilderment of Mara." (Dhammapada, verse 274) that mean hindu and all other religions CANNOT achieve it!!

vegetarianism

it can be cocnlusion from the verses in pali tipitaka that buddha did not eat meat during his life, like this verse "Whereas some ascetics and Brahmins, feeding on the food of the faithful, remain addicted to the enjoyment of stored-up goods such as food, drink, clothing, carriages, beds, perfumes, meat, the ascetic Gotama refrains from such enjoyment.", in the past verse it clearly show that buddha are refrain from eating meat, and also there other verse show that buddha also refrain from eat fish "Neither the flesh of fish, nor fasting, nor nakedness, nor tonsure, nor matted hair, nor dirt, nor rough skins, not the worshipping of the fire, not the many immortal panances in the world, nor hymns, nor oblations, nor sacrifice, nor observance of the seasons purify a mortal who has not conquered his doubt."(amaghanda sutta in sutta nipata) , and there is other verse clearly show that buddha also didn't allow his follower to buy a dead meat on this verse "Monks, a lay follower should not engage in five types of business. Which five? Business in weapons, business in human beings, business in meat, business in intoxicants, and business in poison."These are the five types of business that a lay follower should not engage in." (anguttara nikaya,5.177, vanija sutta).
