if that's not a full size violin then it's even more remarkable the tone she achieves..I pray she develops without any hindrances to become a radiant adult soloist...

There are two LP's that Barney and Stephane made...they split top billing on the 2 recordings. Both on Black Lion Records. The jacket picture at the top doesn't go to either recording. One tune in particular, Little Star, is quite haunting and the melody is quite playable ! But, then, there is SG...

The version with Klaus Kinski as the Pagster was a wonderful film experience except for his attempt to simulate playing the violin ..and, left-handed, at that! The erotic parts were very stimulating !

I so agree ! You tube is invaluable to me as I would never, or, likely never, hear this mahvelous music .. By God's grace, he allows me to continue to improve as an artist..I am so thankful that years ago I found Celtic fiddle to which i can add a, now, fairly well-developed technique and intonat...

My heavenly stars above, this man can play that fiddle ! I just heard him on you tube play the Bach Chaconne. He now is my favorite interpreter of those solo violin pieces. Jesus, Joseph and Mary !!

I agree with Hillary Hahn in "The Art of Violin" that this man is hard to beat for playing the solo Bach S's & P's ( paraphrasing her )

I sing the bass line..his and my own..for my kids...They are in awe of their old man...I tell ya, mon ! 63 and 30 more yrs..God willing !

Celestial...!! I have listened to Szeryng and others play the Bach solo sonatas and partitas, following along with Szeryng's book , for 10's of 1000's of hours it seems like ... For me, it has always been the tone..the intonation found on these incredible instruments...and the heavenly musical i...
