Dfest, the Midwest's premier independent music festival, connects artists to over 60,000 fans in an intimate, downtown festival setting. Within the four city blocks of Downtown Tulsas Blue Dome District, Dfest features well over 100 artists, in ten locally owned venues and on one large outdoor stage.
Now in its ninth year, the cornerstone of Dfest has become the events diversity, with local, regional, national and international acts who represent over twenty genres of music.
In the festivals eight-year history, Dfest has garnered the attention of music industry media powerhouses such as Billboard, Spin Magazine, FuseTV and the Grammy Awards Foundation, while at the same time forging strategic partnerships with music industry executives and scouts. The powerhouse combination of the festivals national headliners and up-and coming artists has earned it a reputation for being one of the premiere destinations for new music. Past Dfest performers have included headliners The Flaming Lips, The Roots, The Black Crowes, Cake The All-American Rejects, Disco Biscuits, Metro Station, Leon Russel, Citizen Cope, Ozomatli, Bassnectar, Ghostland Observatory, Paramore, Gogol Bordello, Shiny Toy Guns, moe., The Cool Kids, Zappa Plays Zappa, The Apples In Stereo, Helmet, Clutch, Dengue Fever, Amos Lee, Phantom Planet, The Veils and Joe Pug.
