Why do you defend gays?

Very well, Leeason1, I responded very early before all the information came out. He shouldn't have been charged, and he shouldn't have been pressured into pleading guilty. Jake received an absolute discharge after he plead guilty. This sends a bad message. Those thugs who seek out gay people to almost kill, or perhaps to kill, have brought any injuries on themselves that were caused by the gay individual fighting back instead of kissing their butts.

No Dexter, he plead guilty in court and the charge got discharged there is a difference!!!

This is an update for leeson1 and those who were following our chat here. Jake Raynard was just found INNOCENT of the bogus charges against him. He truly was the victim, as I have said all along. The police are fools. I certainly hope there will be a public inquiry into their handling of this case.

Armin: All I said was the arugments you were making against weed, that it's a means of escape from reality, etc., could also be made when it comes to religion and many other things. It's totally subjective. Personally, I'm not interested in weed. I'm not interested in throwing stones at people(imposing my values) without a compelling reason either.

I don't believe in religion, but if you're actually comparing pot with a way of life that has been prescribed from thousands of years ago, then it just goes to say how far you'll go to justify a drug. What's next -- weed as important as food and water? It's quite shameful how so many people have surrender themselves to a plant only to mask a bitchy life.

What then makes you people hope that the Prime Minister would even consider legalizing the poison? Or are we going to play another comparatives game?

Leeason1: Why aren't you replying on the comment thread for the video? Jake had the side of his face pounded in and was left unconscious to bleed to death by the large group of teens who were also shouting homophobic epithets. He required many surgeries. I will not re-victimize Jake by blaming the victim. I would raise a hand to the teens as well if I saw them choking my friend and later had them surrounding me. Don't tell me you wouldn't do the same thing. The comments below the video showing the injured Jake were homophobic, victim-blaming, and even inciting others in the city to finish Jake off permanently. No, people in Thunder Bay needn't fear Jake, it's the other way around. Do you want to be free to gaybash without the victim raising a hand to you? Are you expecting gay men to act stereoptypically weak? What is your point, your argument?

Tell Jake not to beat the shit out of teenagers next time he leaves the bar please. People like Jake make people in Thunder Bay feel EXTREMELY unsafe.
