About this user

My name is Miles George, and I have carried the stage name 'Cu-Cu' since 1998, the same year that I started writing and recording original music. I usually create an array of interesting and different sounds in my music, and my genres have evolved over the span of ten years. I have shifted from organ rock to Yamaha synthesizer pop, from Latin pop back to pop/rock, from mellow piano pop and electric soul to experimental noise rock. Now, I just like making music that makes everyone happy and nobody feel left out. My recordings over the years have mainly been recorded on an old analog tape recorder, until I finally received a four track tape recorder about three years ago. That, of course, gave me more opportunities to experiment and try new things with my music; taking it in new and exciting directions. The basement has always been my climate to try out new sounds and explore new barriers of myself. It is still confusing for me to this day to define a true genre for myself. I used to try to create an explanation, saying that I was a rusty robot with super powers and human emotions, but that didn't quite fit with anything that I was trying to say. So, instead of telling people, I finally started playing shows. My setup usually includes a keyboard, gamelan chimes, toy pianos, ukelele, and various means of percussion.
