So far religion has made its way through the centuries by means of childhood Indoctrination thus programming the young ones to pass on their own superstition to the next generation. This is the chain that has to be broken in order to put an end to the absurdities of faith.
I don't care much for conspiracy theories either.
I'm not saying conspiracies do not exist, I'm just saying that 9/11 was NOT an inside job, the moon landing was NOT a hoax, Elvis Presley is DEAD, and so is Michael Jackson (who by the way was NOT an alien). Furthermore, there is NO secret world government, and global warming is NOT an international scam invented as an excuse to raise taxes or anything even remotely like that.
Don't believe such crap.
What I do care about, however, is democracy, freedom, secularism, knowledge, free thinking, science and progress. These are the values and virtues our forefathers fought so hard for, and we are fools to take them for granted.
We (not least in Europe) seriously need to shape up and stand firm to preserve these treasures.
In this respect multiculturalism just isn't doing any good, it's never gonna work. We know this because all countries in Europe that have been subject to immigration from the Islamic world experience the exact same problems - partly because, in reality, multiculturalism most of all serves as a maintainer of reactionary values, backward traditions, and superstitious beliefs in the immigrant communities.
What we have to do instead is to halt immigration from certain parts of the world, dissolve the ghettos and demand in unambiguous terms that immigrant communities allow their children and grandchildren to fully assimilate, thus becoming defenders of our values rather than the opposite.
Politically I'm on the left (though I do not subscribe to any kind of 'ism), I am a strong supporter of the welfare state, social justice, secularism, and our freedom rights, and just as strongly opposed to anachronistic pre-Enlightenment concepts, such as monarchy, state church, faith schools, and blasphemy laws.
