Hailing from the dormant NYC metal scene, is Radtone recording artists DesDemon . Fronted by the dynamic siren, Ms. Chelsea Knaack, this symphonic metal band is poised to become an international sensation.
This year will hold exciting times for the band, as they are set to deliver their first full length CD, Through the Gates, being released by Radtone Music (Japan). They expect to improve on the success of their 2009 EP, The Awakening, under the guidance of Grammy Nominated Producer Tarik Solangi. The band is joined by special guests Tim "Ripper" Owens (ex-Judas Priest, ex- Iced Earth, Yngwie Malmsteen, Beyond Fear, Charred Walls of the Damned, Hell Yeah!), Amanda Somerville (Avantasia, Somerville / Kiske, HDK, Epica), Sander Gommans (After Forever, HDK) & Joe Stump (Holyhell, world renowned guitar virtuoso).
For "Through the Gates", the core group of DesDemon is back with some new additions to 2009's "The Awakening" EP. The band is now fronted by the sensational Chelsea Knacck on vocals. Driving the band is lead guitarist, Lord Metadox and bassist Ron "Pelagius" Porcelli. Another DesDemon's newcomer, locking down the rhythm is the incomparable percussionist, Mike Marrone. DesDemon's final addition from "The Awakening" EP is keyboardist/orchestrator Nicholas Gati. Their combined talents have gelled together to enhance DesDemon's level of play to new heights.
In just over a year, DesDemon's success has been well documented and their achievements tell the story:

• Main stage at MMM Metalfest 2009 (Belgium), Night in Hell Fest 2010 (USA), Halloween Free Fest 2010 (USA) and Sirens of Metal 2010 (USA).
• Have supported bands such as Firewind, Primal Fear, Gamma Ray, Tyr, Korpiklaani, Blackguard, Rotting Christ, Paul DiAnno, Icarus Witch, Mantic Ritual, & Havoc to name a few. Also of note, DesDemon has shared the stage with some of the heaviest hitters in the female fronted metal genre such as Amanda Somerville, The Agonist, HolyHell, Kobra & the Lotus, and Operatika.
• Music featured in the horror movie, Zombie Christ.
• Music featured on the popular BW&BK web page.
• Regular live performances with top promoter Live Nation

Their CD, Through the Gates, is set for Japanese release in the 2nd quarter of 2011. The band is aggressively pursuing opportunities within other regions of the world and welcomes any inquiries.
