How to receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour:
† First, ACCEPT yourself that you are a sinner and deserve God's judgment.
The Scripture says,
"But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness." Isaiah 59:2-3
As it is written, "There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 3:10
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23
The Lord God says:
"Behold, all souls are Mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is Mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. Ezekiel 18:4
"For the wages of sin is death;..." Romans 6:23a
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Revelation 20:14
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" Hebrews 9:27
† Second, REALIZE that Christ is the only way for us to go to the kingdom of the Father which is in heaven.
Yes, we are all sinners and you have just read that the wages of sin is death, and we deserve to go to hell. Now here's the "Good News":
"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23b
You have read it, "eternal life" is waiting for us sinners to receive and it is the "gift of God". We know that "gift" is "free" right? Praise the Lord!
The Holy Bible also says,
"But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." John 3:16-17
Yes, you have read it, Christ died for us to have eternal life only if we believe in Him.
The world cannot save you, even yourself or your good works cannot save you, but by Christ.
As the Scripture says,
"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." Isaiah 64:6
For Jesus says,
"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." John 14:6
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life." John 6:47
"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3
"born again" speaks of the spirit, not of flesh. That is, being born of the Holy Spirit of God.
† Third, CONFESS all of your sins and REPENT.
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9
"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord." Acts 3:19
"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9
Jesus says,
"I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Luke 5:32
and † Fourth, INVITE Jesus the Christ to enter in your heart and RECEIVE Him as your Lord and Saviour.
Jesus says,
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me." Revelation 3:20

BEHOLD, the greatest opportunity in your life among all opportunities offered here on earth is waiting for you to receive, that is, the gift of God through Jesus Christ, The Lord and Saviour, which is, ETERNAL LIFE.
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6

"I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness." John 12:46
"For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost." Luke 19:10
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." Mark 1:15
