AFAIK, Trips' Death was retconned for the Novel-Series that continues the 'Enterprise' Storyline to include the Earth-Romulan War.

I dont know about you all, but I effin' LOVED the third Season of Enterprise! Remember watching the Episodes VERY early in the Morning right before going to work,
