Anyone who subscribes to the wishful thinking that Islam is a religion of peace needs to read the Koran, as well as pay attention to world events, and familiarize themself with the Muslim concept of Taqqiya (mandated deception of "infidels" about their faith to gain strategic political advantage). He or she should also research the historical context of Muhammad's life at those times that he "received" certain "revelations". One should think critically about how those "revelations" have worked to define the Islamic world view and social ideals in the long run when they were blatantly fabricated to justify Muhammad's personal whims.
