About this user
"Dez Nichelle" born Desiree Nichelle Underwood is a singer/songwriter as well as a trained dancer and choreographer. Singing was always a passion for Dez, because of her fathers love for music and instruments she found it to be inescapable. She sung in church, school choirs, and several girl groups throughout her childhood. Constantly influenced by the world around her she began to write poetry and songs while still in grade school and by high school she accumulated over nine notebooks full of material. She never imagined that something that was no more than an outlet to cope with the struggles of life would turn into something this great. Several songs stemmed from those early ideas, one in particular was "My Sunshine" which was featured as her first single under Island Def Jam Digital. With an innate ability to perform and grasp the attention of people across cultural barriers and age groups Dez is sure to be the next big name in R&B/Pop music. Her clever choice of words and her heartfelt lyrics makes her a dynamic songwriter, and her unique tone is enough to engage any audience.
