@antimarxism Fair enough! Playing guitar would be pretty boring if we all used the same setup. I thought the WTW sounded great in this rig. Great pedal, would thoroughly recommend. Have you played through one, what do you think?
Hi mate. Thanks for watching! I would say that the quality of the presets is very good. Most of the profiles are given codenames which are quite easy to crack, and sound very similar to the real things. They've got a lot of different amps and effects profiled already, so you could probably survive without profiling yourself, but I would recommend trying the profiling, as it allows you to sort of choose your favourite aspects of your own amp.
How you doing dude? Thanks for the comment! I'm a huge fan of Line 6, and it's an interesting point you make.
The Yamaha THR just blew me away though, it sounds unbelievable. The USB stuff is all great as well. I'm not going to say it sounds exactly like a valve amp, because I'll be hunted down by the valve purists, but it's the closest I've ever heard! It also feels and responds like one. Impressive stuff.
Just got into this today. Love it. Depresses me how people feel the need to compare any artist to other artists. There are 7 billion people in this world, some of them are likely to sound similar to each other. Her sense of rhythm is amazing, totally refreshing. Thank god for the suggested video list on Youtube!
Wow, so many people just don't 'get' this video at all. How the hell does a 6-year-old have a hipster attitude? He doesn't... He is obviously a naturally charismatic kid with balls big enough to put himself out there on YouTube; where a load of people with much smaller balls will inevitably rip on him for doing much more in 2 minutes than they've ever been bothered to do in their boring lives. Grow up people, it's just a bit of fun.
Good on you, Jacob!
Why are people arguing about Stevie Ray v.s. Gary Moore and Rory Gallagher on this video? Just shut up and enjoy Tommy playing. Listing your favourite guitarists in order of 'how good' they are is just so banal, they are all celebrated because of their unique styles. Music is art, not sport. There's no league table. God damn it.
02/07/2012 11:38am (GMT) - This video has 335 likes! :D I would like it but I don't want to ruin that number.
Some people obviously just don't understand the incredible ironic value of this film. Genius.
Hey dude, I reviewed the DT25 and the DT50. I would recommend DT25, it is a vastly superior amp, the DT50 just has too much power, you can't get any juice from the valves without blowing your own face off. The DT25 is small, but even with a single speaker cab, it has enough volume for any venue.
Hey, this is Rich from the show. We're still working on it, just have to wait on some pickups to arrive before we can continue filming that mini series.
Now they've made little subtitles for the hard of hearing Niall!
It will be on Android soon, according to TC
We're replacing all the hardware on the tele, so it doesn't make much difference. What pickups would you put in there?
Awesome playing. You should be on our show!
That was really nicely played, and the tone was great. Could tell that you'd paid good attention to your sound as well as your technique. We do a guitar show once a fortnight on our channel, with lessons, and advice on gear/recording etc. So stop by if you're ever bored.
I actually really dig your vibrato! It has that crazy Gary Moore vibe to it, and that apsect of playing is down to personal preference, so keep rocking it man. By the way, check out our channel next week for an interview with Chappers.
@albedo0point39 Thanks for the words! Are you following us on our "@SonicAmped" Twitter account? It's for the main website, we don't currently have one that is just for the show but we will inevitably have to set one up! Thanks for watching by the way, new episode will be out on Friday!
Wow, really impressed by that. And anyone moaning about camera quality or video editing... suck it, that was a great vid. Get over yourself.
It's being picked up through a stereo direct line in, only very occasionally do you here it on the video mic, and that is when it's faded back in for me to talk. So what you are hearing 90% of the time is a direct and dry signal from the desk.
