up the steep mountain i fight the wind against me dodging rocks falling at me pride collecting look how i'm moving watch me go! wind pushing me up Im flying i'm on top of the mountain i made it i did it look at me! the cursed one in control one whisper here one lure there i lose my step my legs slip i slowly slide and turn into an avalanche where is the bottom i'm free falling down down down.. reality settling i made it i did it look at me-i fell. a shadow over me i run to take cover I peer to see what the huge shadow is it's the foot of one larger than me i look at myself i'm only an ant a delusional ant. i look up higher i was never on top of the mountain i only reached the top of a bump in the road. leave me alone oh cursed one next time i move i'll sit on the foot of a big one with no pride my heart now beating "astaghfirullah.." and if that mountain brings such pride in me leave me here nose to dirt dodging the feet of the bigger ones as they pass. at least here i see my reality!
