I don't like high output, I've had terrible issues with algae. I plan on getting this exact fixture for my 20 gallon high. It's planted I'm sure it will work fine. I like its slim design.

This is an old video, I wonder if turtles would get along with fiddler crabs? I just moved my fiddlers to a 30 gallon tank and there is plenty of room.

So on my 45 gallon tank I have an aquaclear 50. I tried out the Marineland emperor 400, and it got real noisy, and you can't adjust the flow, which is dumb. So I got rid of that, and traded it for a aquaclear 100, which sucked up a couple of my fish and it was TOO much current.

So that's on ebay...

Hey didn't really get the answer to my question when I watched, how are you going about diffusing your co2 effectively? I just started mine last week. No amazing results yet I'm sure it takes time.

@deeshizzlee where did you get the sand? what type is it exactly? I've been looking online and I see way more types then I thought ha ha. A lot say some sort of oceanic, is that ok for freshwater? I don't want it to increase my pH.

@0aquariumguy0 Well I have one male and one female. The female is definitely harmless, the male messes with her once in a while. The discus would be like 5x bigger though ha ha. We'll see. Those fish are too pretty to buy and have them die on you....

So it's hard to tell when she's going to have them unless you know really when she started...which is probably almost impossible unless you know your fish very well. She looks pretty close though.... yeah I filled up my 40 gallon and put a few danios in there same day. Nothing happens to the water just sitting there.. fish have to poop so that the good bacteria start. just filter water doesn't do anything. Fish like danios can live through harsh conditions like a new cycling tank.

No, scrub before you do anything that way you suck that up as well. You don't need to take that much water out unless your tank is only a couple weeks old. And don't use freaking tap water. That's full of chlorine and is very hard pH levels. Use like drinking water. Or what I do I take my 3 gallo...

@HopesCharm your a dork. It's one of those magnetic things. There is another piece INSIDE the tank...and its a magnet...so when he does that on the outside there is a magnet piece on the inside of the tank scrapping the inside.

Was the baby a Molly? That's so weird... Bur um next time you see that with any fish, and the fish that's being attacked keeps going sideways definitely being bullied. Weird that the little guy would do that though. Ah well that's aquariums for you, trial and error just learn from your experience.
