I use Cool Edit Pro, not because it is the newest thing out there but because it is fast and simple to use. Utilitarian.

Thanks for the video. I use CoolEdit Pro (I refuse to upgrade to get all the stuff I don't need for more money). Just a suggestion... when you silence things - try NOT to use 'Silence'. It is very abrupt and doesn't sound 'natural'. I usually just use 'amplify' and reduce to between -25 and -40db...
