The name "DJ Soulution" was given to me by my goduncle.
It's a combination of the words "Soul" and "Solution".
For me it's a magic name.
Why?
It includes "the soul", "Soul music" and "solution" is a word probably everyone likes.
Getting the solution for something brings you forward.
2005, back in the day when I was 16 years old I discovered my big joy and talent for DJing.
It all happened when I visited my goduncle and he showed me his DJ-Equipment
standing there. It's true I just didn't know what really would be waiting for me there... :)
At this same time a new style of music came into my life I never noticed before like this. Together with my father and friends we listened often to the "Flavor Mix Radio Show" with DJ "Grandmaster Ben" & Fab 5 Finger we had discovered. Every weekend, the DJ-Duo Team broadcasted their Black & House Music mixes 3 hours.
I was just there like hypnotized without words when they mixed one song crossover another through different techniques like scratching and beat matching, -- so the music was still in a flow for the audience.
A magical world opened to me!
Because before that when I listened to music in the radio or somewhere else,
I always knew that you can create something great new or even get out more of a song when you mix together vocal or instrumental parts of different songs. I really wished being able someday, -- to realize and share my fantasies with other people. So there was missing this special thing in my life for sharing it. These special DJ instruments...
Sharing positive fantasies with others fulfils me!
The more closer fantasies can be shared the greater is the joy.
Back at my goduncles home: I was standing in front of his DJ-Equipment,
while he was mixing to songs together. In that moment I found what I was looking for!
After showing me the basics I did it by myself and
knew instantly I want and can do this, -- so I stucked with it.
Music is a medium and language, -- I use to share closer my inner-world with other people.
