How would you desribe the difference between that Orange Drop sound and that of a Tropical Fish? Can I get more of a "Wah" response from the Tropical Fish when I rapidly rotate my Tone pot with a Tropical Fish installed?

It amazes me to look back, and realize how radical G.E. Smith's playing is on these '80's Hall and Oates tracks. Inside that glossy synth pop is shrieking feedback. Sure, he's great with a Tele, a Tweed, and no effects, but G.E. had a more playful side earlier on, and I liked it when he was les...

This makes you not laugh so hard when you see an old Southgang video.
Lose the 3rd party songwriting and Jesse Hart, and you have something with all the melody and melodrama about which rock 'n roll is supposed to be.
Butch Walker sounds his best with these two behind him, the way it's suppose...

Yeah!! That's why Roger, Jason, and part-time Jellyfish session bassist Steven McDonald (who should have quit Redd Kross and gone official on the "Bellybutton" tour) form the core of Beck's backing band. Lucky Beck-He essentially leads Jellyfish now.

There's something conforting for me knowing that one of my favorite composers plays my fave guitar. I've only seen him with a Tele since the 1980's. He was one of the first to play a P-Bass, too. This would be Fender's most interesting endorser, if they'd sign him.

I think that he's a GREAT guitarist. Peter Buck really isn't that easy to imitate. His parts are melodic and memorable. You can hum them. He knew how to dress up Bill Berry's songs better than anyone else.
If I didn't already like Joe Sumner as a bass-playin' fool, that kid just won me over by doing a Velvets cover with Danielle from "Cape Fear".
