~Learning English, German and their patois (beginning Italian); reading, tennis, baking, teaching/learning, hermeneutics. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What I communicate to students is never accept the "wisdom" of others as their own, to question all things, all ideas and beliefs, to go beyond intellectualizing and philosophy—which is at best inherently flawed interpretations and limited perspectives—and create their own experiences. Then they truly learn, taking from those experiences a precious gift of wisdom that is theirs alone.
