Debi is the Founder and CEO of Attitude, Common Sense, Etc. Inc. a company promoting the idea that we're at the helm of our life's journey, and the course we take depends on the choices we make.
She retired with over 34 years as a U.S. Civil Service employee.
She has been a member of Toastmasters International since 1999 and served as Area 35 Governor for District 14 during 2003-2004. She attained her goal of DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster) in June 2005. She has conducted several training sessions for Toastmasters at the local level as well as the state level.
Debi has been speaking publicly most of her life, beginning in church and continuing in other venues.
Her target audiences are schools, churches, civic groups and businesses. She will present an entertaining but inspiring message that will ignite the fire within that we have the power to make the right choices for our lives. We have the power to "steer our boat".
Debi was born in Macon, GA; grew up in Hanahan, SC (near Charleston); and returned to Georgia (Marietta) in 1983.
She is married to Matthew. They have three grown children and two grandchildren.
Debi is actively involved in the United Methodist Women and the Agape Sunday School Class at Due West United Methodist Church.
She enjoys reading, writing, music, crafts, Geocaching (her newest hobby), swimming and most sports.
Debi is passionate about personal responsibility, utilizing common sense and common courtesy, being good stewards of the tax dollar, and living by a high standard of integrity.
