From everything I read, the Elites did not "join" the UNSC, they only partnered against a common enemy. After the war ended, they parted ways (which I think is kinda shitty considering the elites just drove humans to the brink of extinction and just go "later" not try to help rebuild or anything....

@cdavidhX Don't trust a thing you see in Halo:Legends in regards to lore. It was farmed out to the lowest bidder, the entire "series" was made by 5 completely different studios, all having their own style/twist to the stories. The samurai/sanghelli one = steaming pile of s***.

@lenadem26 That is not John-117, that is Linda-058. She was immediately emergency cryo-frozen when she was mortally wounded in orbital combat. John entered Cryo after the Autumn jumped.

@Vontedestein It's a re-purposed mining vehicle, If you read the book 'Halo: First Strike' when John returns to reach and goes after Halsey, they describe scarabs digging down to Castle base, they don't name them outright, but they give a description to a T.
