Band: The Watson Brothers Song: Rong (Colour) Language: Bangla/ Bengali Country: Bangladesh
The Watson Brothers: The band was formed in 2000 by the Drummer Khaled Arafat Kazi and Guitarist Imran Anowar Aziz. Formerly they were playing in a band called 'The Attempted Band' (which they affectionately called TAB and had Daniel of FBR as bassist) pioneering the 'Underground Movement' in Dhaka along with the bands like Cryptic Fate and Glad Tiders. The duo decided to form the new band and approached their good friend and Brother Shakib of Cryptic Fate, who also sometimes gusted as a vocalist for TAB. He was reluctant at first but then he agreed and brought Farhan of Cryptic Fate as the bassist.
In September 2003 they released their debut album 'Ohom' ('Pride') which gained the band a cult following and massive critical acclaim. The album was a blend of extremely different influences ranging from alternative to soft rock to metal, but the band cites it as a simple rock album.
In 2005 Shakib left the band as he was too busy with his job and also his band, Cryptic Fate and 'Sakib' of Fulbanu's Revenge took over as the new vocal.
In September 2006, band released their single "Jani na" in the mixed album "Underground" arranged by Kamal of Aurthohin.
"Shukhi" is the Brothers' last produced song. It's been included in 'Live Now' - a mixed band album by Shabab Murshid Foundation.
