Hi Scrap it. Pretty easy when you think about it. Flywheel spins with engine. One of six attaching bolts backs out toward the rest of the non-spinning clutch assembly and bangs against it. Nothing rubbish about it Ace!

You don't need a different console. Only the section with the shift quadrant is different with the 4 mounting screws of the automatic quadrant. You'll just cover over it with the carpet chunk for the 4 speed. DK 72E/73ES
